In order to complete psychiatric Diagnosis, we need a suitable psychological case to evaluate thoroughly. For this purpose, we have a case regarding Julia who is a 17 years old girl. She is very much conscious about her weight loss. As far as the case theme is concerned, people used to call her a chubby girl, this was pinching her every time and she still hears those voices while standing in front of a mirror (Robert L. & Jean, 2018). Here, we analyze the case in detail and make an outline of certain psychological areas in order to proceed this paper successfully. There are certain areas listen in Psychiatric Diagnosis Prompt which need to be discussed while evaluating Julia’s case and it would help in creating the outline of the Psychiatric Diagnosis Paper as well. These are as follows:

  • Personality Disorder

  • Suffering

  • Health Issue

  • Psychological Disorder

  • Mood Disorder

Above-mentioned are certain areas extracted from Psychiatric Diagnosis Prompt which will be discussing the paper. Here, we relate all these psychiatric diagnosis areas to the case of Julia because it seems to be directly connected to her personality and the current proposed situation in the case.

Personality Disorder

This is one of the most important psychological effects when a person reminds some awkward moments of his/her life which ultimately affect his/her personality. As far as Julia’s case is concerned, she used to call Chubby Girl by the people in her childhood and it has kept in her mind due to which she determined herself to lose weight in order to get her body in shape. This basically gives a person an aim of life just to shut the mouths of people who call her chubby girl (Linde Jennifer. A., Lucy F., & Coday, 2017). There are few people who stand against this mental disorder and achieve the desired goal in an effective and efficient way and Julia is one of them. Most of the people keep these moments in their minds which affect their personality, create mental disorder and obviously health issues.

Suffering

Here, psychiatric diagnosis regarding Julia has a strong connection with this area. She is actually suffering from mental retardation against which she has to lose her weight in order to run faster for Freshman 15. She does not do this to maintain her health but to prove her to those people who used to call her chubby, fat girl in school and in society.

Health Issue

As far as Julia’s Clinical session is concerned, she answered every question in a very well manner. By seeing her answers, it is obviously correct that she is eating well but the aim is to lose weight and get herself out of Freshman 15. If it does not happen, then it may affect her health. Her parents i.e. mother really worried about her lost weight during her stay in school, but according to her, she’s fine.

Psychological Disorder

Some people do hard work, extra efforts in order to become athlete, run faster more than others, diet conscious. There are many others who do this in order to prove to them that they are not behind others and have the ability to run fast. This is exactly the case in which Julia used to call Fat girl and in the Freshman 15. She started losing her weight against these pinching and teasing voices of students and other people just to prove herself a smart girl so that no one can ever call him a fat girl but a determined girl (Taylor B., Ross D., & Carol B., 2018). That’s why she changed her eating habits on the instructions of her coach.

Mood Disorder

A mood disorder is an ultimate result of any moment, time or incident which is awkward or disliked by the person. It affects the mood of the person whenever he/she remind that teasing moments. If continues, it can really create hurdles and serious mental disorder in the future.

These are just a few areas which have been explained regarding Julia’s case and helped in the construction of outline for Psychiatric Diagnosis Paper effectively and efficiently. Now, we provide just that why we prefer this case over others.

  1. Justification

As far as the chosen case is concerned, we have chosen this case because it does not divert from its original path. In Julia’s case, there is a space of connection of all areas of Psychiatric Diagnosis mentioned above. This is case basically depicts the unfortunate but real moments of one’s life in which he/she struggles to get himself/herself proved before the world that they are not behind others but possessing more abilities need to be explored. As far as Julia is concerned, she is 17 years old girl, in this age she is suffering from the psychological disorder due to which she has to lose her weight, eat less even if her health would be at stake but she must prove herself by losing weight and secondly to run fast more than others. Most importantly, she is doing all these efforts in order to get out from Freshman 15. All these are the impacts of those awkward moments of the life of Julia when students, people, family members used to call her a chubby, fat girl. By carrying these moments in mind, she wants to show all of them that she is not fat, chubby anymore (Tortolani & Mathew D., 2016). This is basically the result of psychological disorder when a person does anything for others to show but not for himself. This case defines the problems of many young girls who are suffering from weight loss teasing comments, people do not think for a while that it can create serious effect on a person’s health and lead towards personality disorder, mental illness, mood disorder, psychological disorder, etc. By having these, her parents are worried about her that she does not eat well and avoid eating dinner with family. By extracting these results, interview between Julia and Mrs. Jordan greatly helped to explore certain areas which have a strong connection to Julia a teenage girl’s case.

  1. Symptoms Evaluation

The presence of symptoms has great importance in every psychiatric diagnosis case. Here, we evaluate symptoms related to Julia’s case due to which she must be doing all these efforts. A person Feels Sad, Force himself to do something in order to show abilities, Confused Thinking, Extreme Feelings, Cut-off with friends, etc. are certain symptoms of a person affecting with the psychological disorder as in Julia’s case. She is healthy, eating healthy diet but not for herself just to show those friends, students, and people that she can do whatever she wants. These symptoms are further explained in the light of psychoanalysis and behavioral theory.

The primary tenet of psychoanalysis theory is that individuals are basically unaware of certain factors which become the reason of their uncertain behaviors, emotions. This fundamental principle discloses unconscious factors, disturbed personality, unhappiness, relation difficulties and most importantly self-esteem. Psychoanalysis theory analyzes all these unconscious factors and lets the psychological patient get out of this trauma effectively and efficiently and is strongly applicable to Julia’s case as Mrs. Jordan suggested as well. This development grew up as a prevailing way of thinking in mental examinations (Hajhashemi, 2012). The clarification of the advancement of behaviorism hypothesis with a fascinating reality that behaviors of a person depend upon his/her routine life. If it is disturbed, then it has its shadows on person’s behavior.
