Title
The title does not receive bold font, but the rest of the headings do. Provide an introduction that includes a brief description of each article and its purpose. Identify the three themes that emerged from your reading and how they will be discussed in the paper. Conclude the introduction with your thesis statement. Writer notes: Never provide the titles of the articles in APA writing. Last name of authors and date only.
Citation example: When authors are part of sentence it should look like this: Baker and Pifer (2011) examined…note the word examined is in past tense because we are referring back to the article which was written in 2011. Please do this when mentioning the article in this fashion.
Citation example when paraphrasing and idea and placing the citation at the end of the sentence. ….students found success (Baker & Pifer, 2011).
