The three basic components for access control are policies, subjects, and objects. While each has its importance and characteristics in access control. In policy components, we can observe different laws, requirements, and industry guides. These policies will helps in managing and accessing the information. However, every industry under the guidelines of these policies can maintain the data, information, or unauthorized access in defining the access control policy. However, providing different levels of accessing data will prevent future risks that may be observed in any company. As we can observe various individuals can access the data if the industry does not adopt access control. With the implementation of access control, it can limit the individuals in accessing and would also restrict other people who are unauthorized (Ouahman et al., 2017).
This can be observed in the subject component. Privileged hackers will always find a different way to obtain their information or data. So, it is prime important that every industry should adopt this access control. The other component will provide information on what resources or information that has to be protected. There are certain levels of information that can be stored securely in the industry. All the management and employees have the need to access certain data or information in the workplace. Those type of information does have the need to restrict the accessing. While other highly secured information could be secured more to prevent hackers. But with the advancements of technology, hackers are approaching every possible way to access the information. But all the components of access control will protect the information securely (Popel et al., 2019).
