POLICEMEN OF THE WORLD
Part One
Thesis Statement
The United States military has come to be recognized as the policemen of the world and this is due to their involvement in fighting injustice and terrorism in the world. The U.S military has been used to fight terrorism and help unstable governments be stable by disbanding the enemies of progress. The U.S military has been involved in Iraq where it was in charge of disbanding the Al-Qaeda which is a terrorism group and also restore peace between the government of Iraq and the rebel groups by helping the government win the civil war. In Kenya, the United States military has used drones to kill Al-Shabab leaders who arranged an attack at the Westgate Mall and also arranged the attack on Garissa University College.
Part Two
Outline
Two international events involving the U.S military:
United States military actions in Iraq. For example beginning targeted airstrikes in Iraq.
Preventing the development of nuclear weapons in countries such as North Korea.
These two incidents are related to the Bush doctrine established in the wake of September 11th 2001 as the United States declared war on terrorism.
Three aspects of US history since 1865 that have led to the US’s rise as a world super power policeman.
Establishing diplomatic relations. In 1867, Eugene Schuyler served in Moscow, Europe and Cairo representing the U.S.
Vast technology that helped in the development of atomic bombs that ended World War II.
Up surging fight against terrorism especially after September 11th 2001.
Three to five (3-5) international incidents since World War II where America has taken on a policing role.
The conflict in Koreas, where the North Korea invade South Korea in the 1950.
Fight against illegal drug trafficking using the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Through USAID to provide help the world in terms of the economy, military actions and nuclear strength.
Creation of a law making body deployed to countries that require change in internal affairs.
Taking measures to reduce the spread of communist system of Soviet Union.
America offered to support the Russian and the Polish public to demand rights and formation of a capitalistic government.
Three to five (3-5) driving forces that fueled international policy decisions involving the international incidents you outlined previously
The cold war fueled by the division amid capitalistic nations and communist nations.
The establishment of NATO in the North Atlantic Treaty.
The wars in China and Korea that led to the establishment of the Southeast Asia Treaty
Treaty amid the United States and the USSR.
The signing of the arms control treaty by George W. Bush.
