Which was more important in shaping you into the adult that you are today, nature or nurture? Why? Give at least two personal examples to support your position.
1. I would say that both nature and nurture has shaped me into the adult I am today. I was diagnosed with Autism at a young age and there are days where I struggle with communication. Despite of my disability, I'm determined and passionate about everything I do. I'm also very helpful and calming which makes people feel comfortable to talk to me about anything. Nature has shaped me into being that way. With nurture I was taught to be respectful at all times, to have manners, work hard, and to be responsible. Nature you're able to witness everything around you and you take in any lessons from those circumstances. Nurture you're raised and you learn from your family or any adult in your life. Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, teachers, etc. This is why I think both nature and nurture are very important in a person's life.
2. I think my life has been shaped mostly by nurture, but a fair amount was also shaped by nature. I've had major anxiety and depression disorder as well as migraines since I was very young, so i've lived a pretty sheltered life. I would think that would cause my life to be shaped by nature, but my family supported me through everything. My family has helped a lot from nature completely shaping my life, and i'm very grateful that nurture has been so big in my life. My family never let me use my issues as an excuse and they raised me normally but didn't dismiss my pain or worries. I am grateful that i'm a well adjusted semi-adult due to nature and nurture.
