“You do a good job painting with a broad brush the major features of Judaism and the gender dynamics that are present in the religion. You show that women are both strong in the religion and you mention some of those women from the Torah. And you also show the misogyny and patriarchy that is present. It would have been helpful to weave these two together more fully and nuance these more. For example, what makes any of the women you mention strong? How do Orthodox Jews justify their patriarchy? More development would have been helpful. More importantly your paper has minimal analysis of the article. Your thoughts and analysis of what you read is a key feature of the assignment.”
