About me:
Hello! My name is Philip Njoroge, and I am a passionate Chemistry and Biology Tutor with a degree from Kaimosi University. Growing up, I was always fascinated by the natural world around me. Whether it was observing the intricate patterns of plants or the chemical reactions that occur in everyday life, my curiosity drove me to explore the sciences. This lifelong interest led me to pursue a degree in Chemistry and Biology, where I gained a solid foundation in both subjects and developed a deep appreciation for the interconnectedness of life and the chemical processes that sustain it.
At Kaimosi University, I had the opportunity to engage with diverse topics, from molecular biology to environmental chemistry. My education not only equipped me with knowledge but also instilled in me a desire to share that knowledge with others. During my time at university, I participated in various outreach programs aimed at inspiring young students to explore the sciences. These experiences reinforced my belief that education should be accessible, engaging, and relevant to students' lives.
As a tutor, I strive to create a dynamic classroom environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and expressing their ideas. I believe that learning should be an interactive process, and I incorporate hands-on experiments, group discussions, and real-world applications into my lessons. My goal is to make complex concepts understandable and relatable, helping students see the relevance of chemistry and biology in their everyday lives. I encourage my students to think critically and creatively, fostering a love for science that extends beyond the classroom.
In addition to my tutoring responsibilities, I am committed to continuous professional development. I frequently attend workshops and conferences to stay updated on the latest advancements in science education and research. This allows me to bring fresh ideas and innovative teaching strategies to my classroom, ensuring that my students receive a high-quality education.
Outside of tutoring, I enjoy conducting my own experiments and exploring the latest scientific literature. I am particularly interested in topics such as environmental sustainability and biotechnology, and I incorporate these themes into my curriculum. I also enjoy collaborating with fellow educators to develop interdisciplinary projects that connect chemistry and biology with other subjects, such as physics and environmental science.
Ultimately, my mission as a teacher is to empower my students with the knowledge and skills they need to navigate an increasingly complex world. I believe that a strong understanding of chemistry and biology is essential for addressing global challenges, from climate change to public health. I am excited to inspire the next generation of scientists and thinkers, guiding them on their journey to discover the wonders of the natural world. Thank you for taking the time to learn a bit about me!
