Topic: The Haves and Haves Nots

The haves and haves nots is one my favorite TV shows. It is a compelling new drama for television created by Tyler Perry. The story is about a rich and powerful family named the Cryer’s, who lives in the southern Georgia town of Savanah. It also focuses on the Harrington families, and the poor Young family, Hanna Young. The social psychological theory that is of interests to a social problem has two components: 1) to describe a behavior, and 2) make predictions about future behaviors. The main focus of my hypothesis is to describe and understand, what kind of group behaviors effect poverty, homelessness, prosocial behavior, social influence, and love.

Group behavior:

To understand how group behavior is influenced in the struggles in the work force and challenges for low-income parents their behaviors and their children in African American families have many problems with low self-esteem and depression, this develops them to have negative beliefs and thoughts to make up lies, commit murder and steal money from the haves family.

Predictions about future behaviors shows in my research articles to help understand the social psychology theory in individuals behavior makes people want to stay in a bad group. Group behavior leads to poverty stricken and difficulty families, neighborhoods, cities, and even all over the world in the countries.

Prosocial behavior

Article 1:

Prosocial behavior means people have a concern about the rights, feelings and welfare of other people.

Summary: While Hornstein, (2013) keeps up with the show that it looks similar by having merit insofar as it accurately portrays the gap between the rich and the poor, While (Qiu, 2009) claims that it desires social conditions which are far in trouble in reality than they are dramatized in the show. In fact, while these claims that the show’s dependence on its sponsors makes the revealing information regarding demographics misleading to the audience and worthless. While (RICHARD, 2011) claims there is a quirky business in the world that shows of income inequity, because individuals who are billionaires have not a clue of the effect of the prosocial behavior it has within countries. Which is falling short, because the haves have known concern towards the middle class. Let’s take a look at, he claims (Pattillo, 2007) the race between social problems in public housing is avenging violence with violence is at a disadvantage to black social conditions which depicts in the show and in reality.

Article 2:

Another prosocial behavior that is a problem of behavior with the haves and haves nots is poverty, it has a grip on families, neighborhoods, cities, and the entire countries in the world. I am interested to finding out why poor countries have more diseases and dying than wealthy countries. Most of the poverty is related to diseases in poor poverty countries, because their rights seemed to go on unnoticed and others just go on behaving with their daily lives to not help or benefit the haves nots that continues to diminish their health’s to get diseases.

Summary: Bartram, J. (2008). Improving on haves and have-nots. Nature, 452(7185), 283-284. doi:10.1038/452283a

In the article Bartram (2008) discussed in the journal how it is interested in what is happening in the medical advancement of the journal investigation. The researchers was interested in finding out why public water for drinking is not safe to drink.

Predictions: Poor individuals who drink water has a bad sanitation causes diseases, such as cholera, and other infectious of diseases. The diseases is a form that is a cause of the people dying from bad water, this is the just of why this article was written. The haves aren’t doing enough to fix the problem since the outbreak began to get out of control in 1991 in Europe, it killed 3,000 people in 15 months.

The challenges deteriorated the structure in countries, and new threats had changed them to find a solution how to fix the problems. The researcher’s discussions came up with a solution to make a better system Bartram, (2008).

Social Influence:

Article 1:

Social influence has an important long affect in schools’, because in schools the behaviors in children between the ages 8-18 have a theory of wanting to be rich that they are acting out in schools for being bullies. In this article it investigated the dynamics of what is the cause.

Summary: Rauscher, E., Friedline, T., & Banerjee, M. (2017). We're not rich, but we're definitely not poor: Young children's conceptions of social class. Children & Youth Services Review, 83101-111. doi:10.1016/j.childyouth.2017.10.035

The Science Direct wrote an article because it wanted to investigate two questions that young children are aware of group behavior and how it was experienced.

Predictions: I believe the researchers found out there is some evidence that if children are taught about inequality at an early age then they are more sensitive to be aware of the rising inequalities Rayscgerm (2017).

Article 2:

This article by Hodgetts, (2010) is an exploration of a social influence by a homeless man. It focuses on the behaviors of his walks in his everyday life, and how he uses his material objects in the city where he lives. Such as walking, listening, and reading on a social scale of how he practices in a Mobil hermit across his city.

Predictions: The researchers learned the man had a lot of imagination as well as lot of connections in places.

Article 3:

This is another social influence that shows in the street crime has increased in the world. Crime leads to incarceration that then leads to poverty. The effects is examined in this article for many years. It is known to have a bad effect on employment and wages, martial stability, social networks, and health.

Predictions: My predictions in this article will explain how powerful influences is affecting negative consequences. Also, incarceration has higher rates of illness, and behaviors change in a negative or positive way that influence people how they think their life should be. The Arthurs Scjmottler. Week 5- Literature Review Part IV

Love:

Article 1:

Love in a psychological theory describes behavior in couple relationships. Researchers want to understand what it means to them. This study examines therapies to explore and focus on conceptualization of love influences in couple therapy. Behaviors in therapies are concerned with why dialect changes have differences, such has a lack of respect for each other. Research has showed although most couples should resolve their differences, but not all of them will benefit because it might be harmful in itself. So therapists has directed a different approach that is to love and attach bonds.

Predictions: Helping couples to love and to accept love gives more direction to therapy. If couples have fear to lose love, they create a box that might kill the momentum for fear of losing their partner—this kisses the love bye bye. In this article the strive is to reconnect the love to each other, and in the same process to allow for complexity to stay alive and exist without endangering the love and bond;

Article 2:

In this article it is interested how social workers and teams are concerned with individual’s attitudes of compassionate behaviors that effects everyday life problems in individual’s lives. A therapist named Humberto Maturana was a well-respected therapist who developed a study that provides an approach to ethics which today social workers use in their ethical practices. It describes that love and emotions is important, because it helps to shape in culture by ethical actions.

Predictions: This article has shown an understanding to ethics based on biology of cognition that leads to the need to act respectful and be responsible. This shows how social workers can act in a good and positive behavior to show an understanding to help their ability to act spontaneously for concern of their every day practices.

W6-Project-Literature Review Part V

My literature review for this week will reveal how my hypothesis shows behaviors within Prosocial behavior, it means people have a concern about the rights, feelings and welfare of other people. Social influence has an important long affect in schools, in homelessness, and Crime that leads to incarceration then eventually to poverty. Lastly, this paper discusses love. Love is a psychological theory describes behavior in couple relationships, and social workers and teams are concerned with individual’s attitudes of compassionate behaviors that effects everyday life problems in individual’s lives. This shows how social workers can act in a loving way towards there every day to day duties of work.

The purpose of this paper is to focus on behaviors and attitudes in families, in my hypothesis it aimed to describe and understand, what kind of group behaviors effect poverty, homelessness, prosocial behavior, social influence, and love.
