The problem statement In this assignment , ray optics will be used to understand the EM wave propagation in a hallway. Assume the corridor has the dimension as shown in the figure below, and t he walls of the hallway are made of dielectric materials ( = 3, a constant value) . For an isotropic point source located in the specific position as indicated in the figure above , develop a general program that calculates the EM field from point p to point q. Assume the operation frequency is at 2.4 GHz. You may use MATLAB for this program. 3. Suggested procedure (10 marks) Only line -of-sight rays and r eflected rays are considered.
