This 62,000 m 3 capacity facility including four ( 04 ) pumping stations is managed by Haya Water. Out of the five( 05 ) pumping stations four( 04 ) of them (MPS -2 , MPS -3 , Al Mobellah & Al Khoud ) are located outside the STP. One pumping station (MPS -1 ) is located within STP.  Main Pumping Station 2 (MPS -2 ) and Main Pumping Station 3 (MPS -3 ) convey the collected sewage from the underground sewerage pipes to the STP and MPS -1 delivers the collected sewage to the STP. The treated effluent is distributed for irrigation purposes by Al Mabellah and Al Khoud pumping stations. Idle • In the Buffer Tanks the sludge being aerated then transferred to centrifuges unit through Sludge Transfer Pump. www.haya.om Waste Water Project _ Seeb Seeb STP _ Tertiary Treatment Unit 3 • Purification of water from fine suspended solids through filters and the addition of chlorine to disinfect and purify water from bacteria . • The Plant equipped with Ultrafiltration System For Tertiary Treatment. • The Decanted Water From The SBR Tanks passing through The SBR Effluent Channel to the distribution chamber in The Ultrafiltration. • The Effluent Is Distributed On 2 Drum Screen with Size of 0.5 mm. • After The Drum Screen The Effluent Is Filled Into The UF Cells. • 6 UF Cells Is In Service And One More will be in operation in Phase 2. • The UF Cells equipped with Hallow Fiber Filters with pore size of 0.04 Microns. • The Effluent that passes through the filters moves to TE Tanks. • CIP and Backwash process is applied in the UF Cells for cleaning purpose. www.haya.om Waste Water Project _ Seeb Seeb STP _ Tertiary Treatment Unit 3 • The Effluent that passes through the filters moves to TE Tanks. • The Effluent is treated with Sodium Hypochlorite for Disinfection. • The Plant equipped with 2 TE Tanks : TE Naseem & TE Al Khoud /Mabella (14,224 m 3 Each). • 6 TE Pumps available and 2 more will be in operation in Phase 2. • The Plant follows standard A Treated Effluent Specification. www.haya.om Waste Water Project _ Seeb Seeb STP _ Sludge Treatment Unit 3 • In this unit, water is separated from the sludge generated by the centrifuge processing process and then sent to the Compost plant for the production of organic fertilizer . • 3 Centrifuge currently available and one more will be in operation in Phase 2. • Polymer dosed in the Centrifuge Inlet for Flocculation process. • The Centrifuge Sludge Output Is 20 -22 % Dry Solids. • The Dry Sludge Transferred to Kala Compost Plant for fertilizer production. www.haya.om Waste Water Project _ Seeb Seeb STP _ Odor Control Unit (OCU) 3 • Several units of the aromatherapy system have been installed in different areas of the project in order to ensure the creation of a suitable environment free from the impact of gases resulting from the process of wastewater treatment • The Plant Is Designed With Odor Control System To Remove Un Pleasant Odors Produced With The Process Of Sewage Collection, Sewage Transport, Pretreatment, Aerobic Digestion And Sludge Dewatering. • The Odor Control Unit Is a Wet Chemical Scrubber System. • Three Types Of Chemicals dosed into The System as below: 1) Sulfuric Acid : Ammonia Removal 2) Sodium Hypochlorite: H 2S Removal 3) Sodium Hydroxide: H 2S Removal • The Treated Gases moves to the Atmosphere. www.haya.om Waste Water Project _ Seeb  The different samples of the treatment units are collected on a daily basis and the necessary tests are carried out for the purpose of evaluating the efficiency of the treatment process and producing high quality water .
