Th 23B labeled unknown bacteria had the following characteristic on the TSA plate: different sizes in an opaque creamy color. Colonies have round shape and it smells like stagnant water from the fish tank. After the gram stain were performed, there were purple rod seen under the microscope and little pink on the side. After confirming that it was gram positive, the KOH and catalase were performed to double checked the result. For the KOH, there is no string visible that confirmed it was gram positive. For the catalase test bubbles were present and it indicating positive gram. Endospore were present and indicated that 23B was Gram positive rods Bacillus.

Various tests were conducted on each the unknown bacterial cultures. An explanation of each test and the results are in table. The tests were performed in such a way that each test eliminated a possible unknown candidate.
