International Crime Witness

Will I was on my vacation, I witnessed a crime in Great Britain. The police arrested the criminal and take him for judgment. I was an International crime witness in which I observed the way in which crime offenders in the government of Great Britain are judged. The purpose of this paper is to present a report of what I witnessed over the judged criminal.

Demographic Factors of Great Britain

The population of the state comprises on a large percentage of 71.4 % whites. The Black Americans are estimated to cover 4.5 % of the total state's population. Anglican, Presbyterian Methodist or Roman Catholic takes about 20 % of the population, which is the largest population of the rest color. 4.4 % of the population is Muslim, while 1.3 % is the Hindu. The population of the country is 64, 876, 987, where the largest demographic group is the age between 25 and 54 and this is 42% of the total population. The children are the next largest group between the ages of 0 to 14. In the state, London is the largest city accommodation population of 9 million. The main language spoken in the state is English (Hobcraft & Rees, 2017).

Political Factors of Great Britain

The government of Great Britain is Monarchy by the constitution and is a Commonwealth-realm. The government is led by a queen and a president takes responsibility of certifying the ruling in Parliament. Common law system is the system of law used in establishing and administering laws of the land, and this is the system of law in which the laws of United States if build on. In Great Britain, there exist powerful political parties, and the court system is divided into three types; (a) Supreme Court, (b) subordinate court, and (c) Court of Appeal (Montagnoli, Moro, Panos, & Wright, 2016).

Social and Cultural Factors

Across the country, there exist many aspects of variation depending on some factors. The young individuals in most cases go as per the desired global fashion of clothing. Thy normally wears jeans, jackets, T-shirts, and sneakers. The individuals working in the office wear huge business clothes. The elder people wear traditional British garments. They are respectful and there is a thin gap between social classes-it is very difficult to tell which social class is an individual belongs (Hobcraft, & Rees, 2017).

Economic Factors

The economy of Great Britain is very advanced as it is very open. It is a mixture of market-oriented American system and social-oriented Europeans system. It has a long-standing classical liberalization manifested through "lasses-fare" to mean (let it be) attitude of the economy. The large part of the economy is comprised of private firms and on key sectors such as education and health.

England’s Criminal Code

The common assault in England does not associate with the active physical assault. In this way, the witnessed crime and aggravated assault. The assault with intent is regarded as part of the min crime. The code considered that anyone who has assaulted anyone successfully has already done an assault of the actual harming of the body has indeed committed assault with an intention to rob. In addition to this, if someone has attacked a gay, then they consider it as s/he is religiously or racially assault. After the assault has been committed, the proceeding judgment/trial will provide a clue of what exactly the detail is.

Individual rights that the United States grants criminal suspects

In the United States, the suspects are granted; (a) the right of fair trial and (b) the right of due process. The perspective of the country on the right of a fair trial is to ensure that the case of the suspect is judged with the outcome that the final report brings the distinction of the suspect being quality or innocent. While the states' perspective on the right of due process implies that the suspect is the judge on an immediate time so as not to wash his or her time if found innocent.

The manner in which the police in Britain will like to treat the defendant

In Britain, the police hold in their minds a connection between the suspect and the defendant. They take as if they have the same thing in common and possibly the two might be guilty and judge the same. This is because, at the time I was criminal witness a man who was defending the suspect in the trial was judge the same as the targeted criminal (Birdsall, 2018).

Similarities and differences between the police culture in Great Britain compared to the United States

According to Pound (2018), in the US, criminal acts are regarded has been committed against the community and it is so prosecuted. Just as the act of committing the crime is the critical area in the US, in the UK it is the act that the criminal is termed guilty. The difference is that while the US, the suspect is released when found innocent, but in the UK, s/he is held till the case is sorted i.e. until the guilty criminal is found.
