Making the Enzyme Bar Graphs using Microsoft Excel

1. Open the Excel program

2. Using the diagram as a reference, enter the reaction rates for each of the pHs tested. Recall that the reaction rate is the SLOPE of the linear plots generated by the LoggerPro software. MAKE SURE that you are selecting the appropriate

slope for each condition (e.g. pH5) from the linear plots!!)

3. Click on “Insert” (on the top bar), then select the “Column” type of graph (looks like a bar graph). After this you can select what type of bar graph you want (your choice!)

4. Complete the design of your graph by adding labels for the axes and a graph title. To do this, click on

the “Chart Layouts” OR on “Add Chart Element” on the top bar:

5. Add axes labels and the graph title by clicking on the box for each and entering the text either directly on

the textbox or in the fx slot:

5. Your graph is finished!
