Ever since the early welfare organizations, animal rights have been a social issue around the world. Animal rights promotes that animals live freely according to their nature and that they should not be used as commodities. In fact, activists believe that animals and humans are not different from each other and that they deserve the same ethical considerations. Another movement is animal welfare that believes animals do not reason like humans, but still suffer and feel pain. The theory of animal rights stems from feminism and environmentalism.
