Paper Guidelines

Prepare and submit 2-3 page outline draft of your final SA Assignment, ‘My Utopia Job’.  A well-constructed paper will reference 3 or more scholarly sources including at least 1 journal articles such as those assigned and retrieved from Brandman’s virtual library, and adhere to APA standards.

Description:

The purpose of this draft paper is for students to create and submit an outline of their final paper for guidance and feedback.  For this assignment, students will write a 2-3 page outline of their final SA assignment and submit it to the Week 5 SA Draft Assignment folder. Students are to identify their own management strengths and to consider two to three of specific management tools reviewed in this class. Overall, the final paper is designed to address this question: ‘What you have learned about yourself and your particular management strengths.’ Keep this in mind as you design your outline.

Your outline should contain the following sections:

Introduction

  • A clear “Purpose Statement”

  • Introduction sentence that explicitly explains what the paper is about – the main points of analysis.

  • A quick overview of the four to five points of analysis

Analysis (Body)

  • Four to five main points (no need to provide detail on each point, just identify them)

    • 2 Strengths

    • 2-3 New Management tools  

  • Each point should have a citation back to the text with a page number and a direct (short – 3 to 5 words) quote.

  • Based on this personalized analysis, identify 2-3 ideal jobs.

Conclusion

  • At least one or two concise sentence/s of the analysis

  • Tied into the first two or three sentences in thought

Process, Punctuation and Grammar

  • All the words spelled correctly
