Responsible Stewardship

Saint Leo University’s (n.d.) core value of responsible stewardship

Introduction

Saint Leo University’s (n.d.) core value of responsible stewardship calls upon its staff and students to enhance and utilize all the resources available to them to fulfill the university’s mission and goals. The same core value of responsible stewardship should be a mirror image for the project manager. The project manager is the responsible steward of HappiHouses and has a responsible stewardship to follow safety, quality, and cost effectiveness. The project manager understands responsible stewardship in following building codes, obtaining building permits, hiring qualified and certified contractors and purchasing quality building materials to maintain safety. The project manager as a responsible steward has an obligation to maintain the mission statement of the firm and the customer’s budget and satisfaction. The customer’s expectation must be met with clarity and transparency and effective communication. The Project Managers overall responsible stewardship is to understand safety liability and to deliver to the customer safety by hiring qualified and certified contractors.
