Reflective Letter (Final Assignment)

Write a formal letter (1000 words minimum),

  1. Include five or more artifacts (i.e., any writing you produced in the process of writing like (outlines, notes, etc) to use as evidence of your learning.

  2. make direct reference to the artifacts as you analyze your writing and learning. focus on your writing throughout the letter by citing examples from it and explaining what those examples say about your writing.

The quality of your reflection will depend, at least in part, on how effectively you do these two things

In the reflective letter, you must also discuss 2-3 of the following prompts:

1. Reflect on in-class activities. How did discussions, group tasks, and individual and pair work inspire and influence your writing?

2. Reflect on significant assignments, focusing on your writing process, challenges, what worked and what didn't, favorite and least favorite projects, peer review, and revision.

3. Discuss how your writing evolved during the semester. 

4. Discuss your attitude toward writing. How has it changed?

5. Discuss your weaknesses in writing, how you have overcome them, or plan to overcome them.

6. Discuss what your portfolio reveals about you as a writer, thinker, and learner. 

 

7. Discuss the assignment(s) you enjoyed most and explain why you enjoyed them.  

8. Discuss how your writing in this class may be useful in your future.
