The organization selected for the analysis is McDonald's fast food restaurant, mainly because it adheres to the requirement of the assignment and the products are recognized. The restaurant is part of numerous outlets located nationwide with the headquarters being in Oak Brooks, Illinois. The company first founded in 1948, began as a small hamburger restaurant (Stearns, 2016). Nevertheless, the company took advantage of the low competition marker and by adding new commodities commonly unavailable in the market was able to make profits (Stearns, 2016). It should be noted that the first franchise program began in 1955 by Kroc (Stearns, 2016). Additionally, the founders discovered a simplified and lucrative means of making large quantities of food. These mark the main reasons for selecting McDonald's like the best organization to review and analyze three of its menu items.

Among the items to undergo, cost analysis is the Chicken McNuggets, Big Mac, and Sausage, Egg & Cheese McGriddles. The listed items can be found on the restaurant’s menu.
