Part A

Amazon is a big company that has continued to grow over years since its establishment. Currently, it is known that the company has 288 million square feet of retail stores, warehouses and data centers. Additionally, the company earns high amount of revenue which is almost twenty three billion US Dollars (Rossman, 2017).

Part B

The Amazon Company was founded by Jeffrey P. Bezos. The company was named Amazon after Amazon River which is the largest river in the world. The company gained fame due to the books it published. Additionally, the logo for the company was Amazon with an arrow pointing A to Z symbolizing its potential to provide all products whose starting letters were between A to Z as well as ensuring customer satisfaction of all the services it offered to the American society (Rossman, 2017).

Part C

The organization of Amazon Company is in a hierarchical order where leaders are from the top most officials to the lower staff. They have leaders like Chief Executive Officer who is the senior most and his role is to lead, guide and evaluate the work of company directors and other employees. The company has job positions for Software engineer I and II, brand specialist and senior program manager among other positions (Chae-Bogk Kim & Park, Sung-Min, 2016).

Part D

Amazon Company maintains a corporate social responsibility which has reports describing different perspectives of its practices. These reports include the company’s avoidance of sales tax through creation of legal business structures like shell companies and affiliate companies (Trong Tuan, 2016). Additionally, the company in Germany takes public subsidies severally in order to encourage the rehire of the same temporary employees.

Part E

Finally, the company follows Carroll’s view of social responsibility it states that stakeholders are people or group interested in an organization based on what it does. The company’s satisfaction of the interests of its stakeholders has made it maintain the leading position of having the largest online market (Ngo, Foley, Ji & Loi, 2017).
