Attached are the previous work done and need to reference that to complete step 5 which the questions is below. Please ask me any questions of you do not understand. I do not want any wrong job done.

Target population and setting

The target population that I have selected is individuals who are above 65 years. The preferable setting is senior citizen homes. The selected target population is preferable for the study as I am seeking to understand the association between smoking cigar rete and disease risk factors at old age. Specifically, the study will be interested in understanding whether or not the risk factor for diseases increases with age, through the mediating factor of smoking cigars. Although the study has been conducted several times, a majority of existing psychological studies have not explored in-depth the intersectionality between the variables. It is known that smoking cigar increases disease risk, but not entirely examined whether such risk factor increases with smoking cigars or not. The selected participants and the derived target population are justified because of the surge in lifestyle diseases among the population. A younger and healthier population is less likely to have more lifestyle diseases and hence the reliability of the sample mean in such a study would be diminished. The setting that has been selected on the hand is justified and tenable because it is more likely to meet older citizens in senior citizen homes, than having to recruit participants for the study from a neighborhood. Working with an expansive neighbor may sometimes be encouraged, but due to logistical, cost and time considerations, it is most suitable to recruit participants from the situation of a senior citizen home. Overall, therefore, the selected population is justified because it is more likely to be suffering from the target lifestyle diseases. On the other hand, the setting is most suitable because it minimizes the costs and logistical challenges of having to deal with a population sample in an expansive estate.
