Final Visual Analysis Project – Thesis & Outline

Thesis statement: The analysis of the perspectives will demonstrate how the visuals used in Amazon prime website work together to create an emotional connection with viewers to persuade them to purchase these products.

  1. Introduction

  1. Visual communication and media can give someone an impression from a visited website that may appeal and attract a viewer.

  2. Visual impression matters to viewers as it may attract and makes someone interested and explore the site.

  3. The analysis of the perspectives will demonstrate how the visuals used in the Amazon prime website work together to create an emotional connection with viewers to persuade them to purchase these products.

  1. Sensory Response

    1. The website uses a range of colors, design layout, iconography, and maybe video advertisements or motion pictures to give a viewer visual communication as a way to attract and keep the viewer.

    2. The visuals make one be attracted to the website and explore the site. Different attractive color graphics and the theme are in use to make the viewer stick on the website.

    3. The website uses different visuals to attract a specific audience strategically. The site is using the layout and design to attract buyers through the marketing of its goods strategically.

    4. From the Amazon prime website, the impression given using the bright colors, iconography, layout for advertising products, and the motion pictures are visual communication that attracts buyers or sellers.

    5. Icons should be simple and should enhance comprehension (Walker-Ford,2019). The illustration should match the tone and subject matter (Walker-Ford,2019)

  2. Perceptual Response

    1. The target audiences are buyers or sellers who are in dire need of a product; hence the website uses good quality pictures, good layout, and design to capture any buyer despite religion, age or culture.

    2. Effect of the visuals is to give the buyers desire and need to keep exploring the website for different products by advertising the products despite culture, age, gender, or profession.

    3. Design and layout are used for various products to be strategically advertised to capture different buyers.

    4. The simplicity of the website in terms of theme colors, iconography and layout has made the site universal for access by different kinds of people

    5. "Layout should guide readers through a logical hierarchy…. avoid unnecessary design…" (Walker-Ford,2019) The website is, therefore, universal.

  3. Technical Response

    1. The quality of visuals from the Amazon prime website is standard. A drop-down menu is in use as a technical response to simplify the layout of the website.

    2. The quality of the visuals and drop-down menu in use gives the effect of attracting and simplifying the audience work in exploring the website.

    3. Drop-down menu and the quality of the visuals that have been used have been used for buyers to see the range of products on sale.

    4. Amazon prime site has different drop-down menus depending on the categories of goods to be bought by buyers such as motors, fashion, electronics, health, and beauty.

    5. "In e-commerce, most users will encounter drop-down menu while navigating"(Research articles).

  4. Emotional Response

    1. Mood setting colors, compelling images are in use as visual communication in loving response to attract buyers.

    2. Effect of mood-setting colors, compelling images, and the icons are used to create a desire for buying or to purchase for the target audience.

    3. The colors, images, and symbols are intentionally used to set a tone of online market and the yearning of purchase or look for products.

    4. Yellow, light blue, white, pink is used to create the mood, the images, and price tags are to promote and persuade buyers the website prices are economical.

    5. Colors can be aesthetically used side to side to create a mood. (Walker-Ford,2019)

  5. Ethical Response

    1. By the visual examples in use on the Amazon prime website, it does not use inappropriate images or have false advertising making the website ethically right. The visuals are not limiting for any diversity.

    2. Amazon prime website is universal hence limiting adverse effects from the visual communications used, thereby using appropriate images, and correct adverts make its ethical response good for all age groups or religion.

    3. Because the site is targeting all customers, the visuals are only meant for promoting or marketing purposes; therefore, making no irrelevance.

    4. Colors used on the website, products, design, and layout are used to appease users of any age or religion hence appropriate for all.

    5. Visual communications in use should satisfy a large number of viewers without biasness. (Walker-Ford,2019)

    1. The analysis of the perspectives will demonstrate how the visuals used in Amazon prime website work together to create an emotional connection with viewers to persuade them to purchase these products.

    2. Visual communication and media are of the essence on websites as it attracts viewers as the site is attractive.
