This assignment allows students to demonstrate their understanding of the income taxes in financial reporting. Using the financial statements of a publicly traded organization, students will prepare a paper describing the components of income taxes in both the balance sheet and income statement. Students will also examine the Notes to the financial statements and describe the required disclosures.
