WEEK 1

NAME

April 11, 2020

Part 1

I think the initial results reflect the way I view my views personally and ethics in business. the assessment results indicated a high value of honesty and integrity. I always strive to be honest because I believe in the truth. For example, I always do my work during exams because I know the purpose of an exam is to confirm one's level of understanding. I also know that the truth sets someone free. I have conducted business in the past as a sales agent, and I always told my clients the truth about various products. I also ensured that I tell them the correct price of the products. I also adhere to moral principles. For example, I recently saw a person steal a phone and reported him even though he promised to give me some cash to stay silent.

My assessment results showed a higher level of charity, compassion and exacting in truth than for other people. I am a generous person and I believe this comes naturally. For example, I have previously donated to the Japanese who had been hit by an earthquake. I think my compassion for those who were affected by the earthquakes made me contribute some money. I also have some concern about the environment because I do not throw litter around or in water bodies. Despite facing numerous challenges, I remain focused to study. This justifies my high perseverance level. I am also not a malicious person. I always wish success to other people and never wish them to fail.

Part 2

Based on My ethical assessments, I am a charitable and honest person. I have been speaking the truth in most of the circumstances. My behavior has always been influenced by the values of charity and honesty as listed. I have, however, not been helping a lot of people. This is because I do not come across a lot of people who ask for help unless I decide to contribute something to charity organizations, of which this is charity. I also stay alone most of the time, and this makes it difficult to help people.

I have shown my good character in various circumstances. My behavior has truly been influenced by a character such as when I was asked for a bribe by the police for over speeding in a region where it was not allowed. I told the police I would rather get arrested than giving out bribes. I have shown compassion by motivating other students and bonding with my family and friends. Compassion is the sympathetic consciousness of others’ distress with a desire to alleviate it” (Bass et al, 2018). I have encouraged several people to lift their spirits.

My environment results were not so good because I rarely take part in activities that involve cleaning the environment or making decisions regarding environmental cleanliness. Exacting the truth results were average because I am not usually rigid in requirements. My fairness results were not good because I have previously voted based on my parents’ decision and their favorite candidate rather than evaluating the candidates to choose the best. “A person who is fair is also free from bias or injustices” ((Bass et al, 2018). My vote and opinion on the presidential candidate were biased.

My integrity results were good and they truly reflected my recent behavior. I also had a high-level pf of perseverance because I have been able to withstand numerous challenges to study. My sacrifice results were higher than those of my classmates while my seriousness was low. I tend to handle situations with less seriousness. Tolerance results were not high because I have not stayed with people with different views or from different backgrounds to get the experience and test my tolerance.
