Gospel EssentialsThis is where your introduction goes. Make sure to write a paragraph introducing the topic which includes a thesis statement. An example of a thesis statement is this: In this essay I will be discussing and evaluating four essential elements of the Christian Worldview: God, humanity, Jesus, and restoration. Please feel free to use this thesis statement.
GodIn this section, make sure to talk about the characteristics of God and his work of creation. You may want to consider God’s omniscience, omnipotence, and/or Trinitarian nature.
HumanityIn this section you will want to mention at least how God created everything. Pay careful attention to how God originally created humans (see Genesis 1:26-27).
JesusThis section deals with Jesus. Remember to discuss specifically who Jesus is as to his nature, i.e., being fully human and fully God, and the importance of this. Also, recall what Jesus is said to have done for the world according to the CWV.
RestorationThis part of the essay wants you to discuss what the Christian Worldview says about God’s plans to restore this fallen, sinful world. What has God done to restore the world back to its original pure and perfect creation? Think back to Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection. Then, remember our discussion concerning grace and faith (make sure to mention these here). Finally, think about what Jesus’ ministry does for the world to be restored as well.
AnalysisThis section wants you to discuss what you think about the CWV’s four points you just wrote about above. You need to answer in this section: (1) what are the benefits/strengths of the CWV? (2) What is troublesome or confusing about the CWV? (3) How does the CWV affect one’s behavior and life? Make sure to answer all these questions.
ReflectionThis final section asks you to reflect on your own worldview. Specifically, discuss whether you are a Christian or not. If so, answer how these convictions have shaped and are shaping your life. If not, state specifically what is different and/or similar about your worldview as compared to the CWV.
Conclusion
This is where your conclusion goes. Make sure to summarize all the four points of the CWV and your analysis and reflection.
