Week 10 Discussion: Reflection

Reflection

Review a guide to writing cover letters, located at https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/549/01/. Next, reflect on what you learned regarding the importance and structure of job application cover letters. Ascertain the key factors an employer may take into consideration when determining whether an applicant receives a job interview.

Identify two (2) key skills that you learned during the course that you think will add to your communication effectiveness.

Think about your goal established in Week 5's discussion. How well did you progress towards achieving that goal? What additional work must you do to achieve or expand that goal?

Week 5 goals submitted already:

When I started the course, I barely comprehend aspects of professional communications. After the past five weeks, it has come to my surprise now and I have realized my professional communications were so poor and ineffectual. I bare know if my fellow students understood me in all messages I tried informing them. This is because poor communication may continuously occur and results in a breakdown of communication because both parties cannot deliver or understand the expected message. Furthermore, this realization has changed the way I communicate because lack of good communication can cause misunderstandings and conflict. Finally, at the end of this course, I do think my professional communications skills will be perfect as I will practice writing correct full spellings, check on my grammar, and speak eloquently with good pronunciation as well as reading extensively to increase my vocabulary.

An introductory letter permits you to focus on the activity and manager in a quite certain manner. It gives a chance to advertise your aptitudes, characteristics, and experience as a major aspect of the master plan.
