Subject: Report on sitting arrangements

Date: June 23, 2020

Organizations need to ensure that employees have good working conditions and are provided with opportunities to make them productive and successful in their work. This implies hiring quality talent and ensuring that they have the tools required to maximize efficiency without facing unnecessary hassles such as the lack of proper seating allocation. The organization has been facing a seating problem as there are insufficient seats to accommodate both the permanent employees and as well as contractors who do not permanently work onsite but occasionally and who occupy seats used by the permanent employees causing great inconvenience. Given the seating challenge facing the organization, the purpose of the report will be to recommend an actionable seating allocation program to manage seating issues within the organization.

To collect data for use in developing the research, several primary data collection methods will be used. First interviews with individuals or employees from different departments will be conducted. This will be done to collect their views on the actual situation regarding seating arrangements and what they recommend. Also, a review of primary workplace documents will be carried out in an attempt to not only get further information regarding the problem but also recommendations for improvement. Some of the information to be obtained includes the number of employees within the organization, work schedules and contractors among others.

Both the organizations and the employees will benefit from an improved seating allocation system. The organization will benefit from increased efficiency and productivity from employees. This is because by providing enabling conditions the organization would not only motivate them but also reduce work-related stress. On the other hand, employees would benefit through reduced inconveniences caused by seating problems hence increase their efficiency.
