We are in age of change, and at 306 Industries we have begun discussion to prompt a stronger and smarter workforce. The initial plan was to adapt to change by hiring a younger workforce, but instead we at 306 industries decided to go with a mature workforce. The reasons we are choosing an older workforce include: shrinking gender wage gap, staying healthier, being experienced, and acting more mature.

Age the cure for Gender Wage Gap

As we all know the tragic quote that for every dollar a man makes a woman makes seventy cents. A key reason being middle-aged women are more responsible for housework then middle-age men; this out dated phenomenon causes women to take less lucrative positions at work due to time constraints. Older women do not usually have this constraint and can then move up in the workforce and exert their full force into our company. Our primary example within our own company is Trish Walker our CEO. This meets our company missions of:

Equal Opportunity. We are offering equal opportunities for men and women to lead this company on all fronts.

Equal Pay. We are a company that provides equal pay for men and women.

Age is just a number not a deadline

The modern age has created a much better environment for older employees to flourish and make us succeed. This environment is a unique situation where age can do it and youth could know.

Modern Medicine. Today’s healthcare has allowed employees to work longer and stay healthier well past retirement.

Modern Work. The modern type of work of services jobs allows for less physical engagement creating an older retirement age.

Experience mixed with Dash Patience

With need of less physical capabilities, experience has become more valuable. Age is the one of greatest markers for experience. As a child is less likely to have it older individuals are more likely to possess it. Here are the things that time to gain:

Patience. The longer we live the smaller time feels that we have to wait. Older individuals understand when things take time and when things taking too much time just based on experience.

Understanding. Empathy grows as we grow like a muscle the more you use it the greater it is. That is why older employees are more willing to help others with kindness and time then younger employees.

Maturity the Fastest Way to Productivity and more

Maturity is well defining trait of success, focus and productivity. Older employees are almost guaranteed to have this trait of maturity. Let take a focus look at these benefits:

Productivity. Older employees will give it their all to the company, because that is all they have left to do. Leaving a mark and making difference is the greatest reason for older employees still working. This means more training for our younger employees, more productive work effort and a more detailed personal touch.

Focus. Focus has been long lost in the modern work age. Older employees due to the fact of not understanding or not caring for modern distraction are amazing focused on work. Older employees do not take distraction up on their offer and would rather help make a difference.

Creating A Difference. Older employees have a goal to make a difference either for their fellow employees or their work place. Looking to improve their surrounding creates the best scenario for company.

Older employees are paving the road to equally payed employees, healthy employees, experienced employees and mature employees.
