Introduction
A warehouse is a large building where manufactured goods or raw materials are stored awaiting distribution. Warehouse managers are responsible for ensuring all operations of the warehouse run effectively. This involves processing orders, maintaining records, training, and supervising staff, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The warehouse may contain three types of inventory including;
High-value: products that do not sell frequently
Fast-moving: Products that sell at the same rate as they are produced.
Hybrid: Items that sell moderately quickly.
The warehouse can be categorized into three sections, namely the first phase, second phase, and the third phase. Incoming products are stored in the first phase. This is the section where products are received kicking off the flow of goods. The second phase is used for storing inventory controls and involves quality control and consolidation. The third phase is reserved for the distribution of products to various destinations. This section is critical as it determines the locations in which different goods are to be delivered. All three phases are essential for optimal operation of the warehouse.

Strengths and weaknesses are things that can be controlled by the warehouse management. Threats and opportunities are things that take place outside the warehouse but have impacts on its operations (Gürel & Tat, 2017). By spotting opportunities in the external environment, Appliance Warehouse can be able to develop strategies to improve its competitiveness. It is also crucial that the warehouse anticipate the threats outlined in the SWOT diagram above. This is vital in coming up with strategies that help the warehouse to mitigate those threats and remain relevant in the market. The information obtained in the SWOT diagram can be used in identifying the core competencies of the Appliance Warehouse and for strategic planning (Phadermrod, Crowder & Wills, 2019).
