Why you chose this article and its relation to the clinical issue of interest (include a brief explanation of the ethics of research related to your clinical issue of interest)

As a nurse, it is always important to know what to do to prevent your patients from so much pain. Choosing this article will improve my understanding and knowledge of how I can help adults who are critically ill managing the pain they are experiencing. Managing pain usually aims at knowing the importance of pain in medicine, the function of managing pain in the medical care of patients, the responsibilities of healthcare experts in managing pain in patients, and the other duties that require balancing against the responsibility of providing enough analgesia.

Brief description of the aims of the research of each peer-reviewed article

The article aims at discussing how the guidelines of “PADIS (Pain, Agitation/sedation, Delirium, Immobility, and Sleep Disruption) go afar the PAD (Pain, Agitation, and Delirium) guidelines.”

Offering precise guidance associated with risk elements of pain, the evaluation and managing of pain in life-threatening illness, and how the pain experience in critical illness is entwined with that of nervousness, delirium, sleep disruption, and immobility.

The article aims at determining how healthcare professionals, especially the nurses, can play a dynamic responsibility in counteracting and managing nosocomial diseases, which is common in health facilities.

The study aimed at assessing the understanding, attitude, and self-effectiveness of nursing personnel in controlling nosocomial infections.

The study aimed at describing the present states of the shifts of nurses and how it influences the stress, quality of sleep, and the self-professed health status.

Brief description of the research methodology used Be sure to identify if the methodology used was qualitative, quantitative, or a mixed-methods approach. Be specific.

The research was conducted by reviewing the literature of the Society of Critical Care Medicine's PADIS guidelines. Also, the way they go afar the initial PAD guidelines in providing precise guidance associated with the evaluation and pain management using opioids in critical illness and the utilization of adjunctive analgesia—a qualitative method.

Data were collected using a cross-sectional study method where a questionnaire was used to gather information regarding knowledge, attitude, and self-efficacy of 135 nurses. It was a qualitative method.

The study utilized a systematic survey by collecting qualitative data from MEDLINE and library sources.

A cross-sectional study where nurses were interviewed on their demographics, their work schedule, and a checklist for stress, sleep-quality measure, and health status were used for data collection.

A brief description of the strengths of each of the research methodologies used, including the reliability and validity of how the methodology was applied in each of the peer-reviewed articles you selected.

The literature used provided the precise information required in assessing pain management in critically ill adults. The sources of research used were reliable and valid since they contained most of the drugs used in pain management and how to use them.

The cross-sectional study is moderately quick and easy to conduct. Data is collected once and provides multiple outcomes and exposure.

The resources provide precise ways of taking care of cancer patients and the use of central venous catheters.

Data on all variables was only collected once, quick, and easy to conduct. All factors being investigated can be measured, and numerous outcomes and exposures can be identified.

General Notes/Comments

The knowledge of pain management in critically ill adults is essential, and this article provides this information in a precise and understandable way that makes it easy to understand.

Many nurses are not knowledgeable about nosocomial infections. It is crucial to train nurses on how to prevent nosocomial infections by increasing their knowledge and attitude.

Only well-trained healthcare providers should place central venous catheters.

Hospital managers need to warrant more healthy shifts in working schedules to improve the nurses' clinical performance and health status for the quality of patient care.
