I'm applying for P.H.D in Information Technology. i'm looking for answers for the questions in the attached file. For reference i have added one more attachement.

  1. What are your research interests in the area of Information Technology? Why are you inspired to research in this area, and why do you think it is important to research in this area?

My area of interest in Information technology is in Cloud Computing, With the significant advances in Information Technology (IT) over the last half century, there is an increasingly perceived vision that cloud computing is considered essential to meet the everyday needs of the general community. As I am working as DevOps Engineer, I will be working mostly on cloud Environment for releasing the application into the Market with newly Implemented features. Currently Cloud Computing is most challenging Technology in the Market and I am interested to do research on it since I was in graduation as it was one of the hot topic technologies. Most of the Organizations are migrating to cloud environments right now e.g., Aws and Azure cloud Environments are top cloud computing services in the world. I think research in this area helps for the growth in my Carrier. I want to see myself as a cloud Engineer, as we are seeing advanced technologies are increasing day by day.

As cloud computing is achieving increased popularity, concerns are being voiced about the security issues. The effectiveness and efficiency of traditional protection mechanisms are being reconsidered, as the characteristics of this innovative deployment model differ widely from them of traditional architectures. The cloud infrastructure proposes unique security challenges which need to be considered as researchable in detail.

  1. Why did you select PhD in Information Technology? Why did you select University of the Cumberlands?

I want to improve my abilities to understand and solve problems, increase my confidence, make myself a better communicator and gain skills that may lead to a better job. I am very ambitious, and I want to challenge myself. I feel that I need a driving force pushing me to explore and learn new things.

I strongly believe that your esteemed university will assist me in achieve my educational goals. I strongly believe that University of Cumberland’s is a comprehensive university that furnishes an education that will serve me well in my career and prepare me for a lifetime of learning. This will ultimately help me provide vital contributions to society and work in a way to expedite the advancement and betterment of humanity as a whole.

  1. As an individual, what are your strengths and weaknesses and how will they impact you as a PhD IT student?

Strengths: I feel that I’m a good written communicator. My existing academic and professional work demonstrates an ability to put forward ideas clearly and concisely. I think this will help me manage the weight of information my PhD research needs to cover and the challenge of producing an effective thesis. But, I’m not always as organized as I’d like to be. I want to address this as part of my postgraduate training and hope to take advantage of classes and development opportunities early in my doctorate.

Weakness: I’m really interested in communicating my research to a wider audience, but don’t know how best to go about doing this. I think the training module on public engagement will be a big help to me, both academically and more generally.

  1. Where do you see the future of Information Technology going and where do you see yourself in this mix after obtaining PhD in Information Technology from UC?

Information Technology greater influences the web over the span of ongoing years. I believe it will wind up strong for one more decade. I feel my PhD adventure can open up new lines of solicitation for this field. In any case, I am in like manner interested by the more broad improvement openings consolidated into this doctoral program. I pretty much confident that after completion of my PhD research I will be attaining new growth in my professional career and hoping that I can adapt to new tasks, processes and increased responsibilities.

I would like to see my self at a very good position solving many issues which are a hinderance to current growth of Cloud technologies. I am confident that I would reach that point after taking up a research program at your esteemed university.
