Portfolio Milestone

For the portfolio project, I have chosen to utilize the leadership bool Promoting Leadership Development and Talent Management in Modern Organizations. I have selected this book due to the content providing different overviews of several leadership topics. These topics include leadership development and its importance, talent management and how this affects the success of a leader, as well as the promotion of leadership development in an organization to create a successful future. In order to be a successful leader, diversity and culture have to be recognized in an organization as well as on a team. I will be selecting option 2 of the portfolio project Gaining a stronger understanding of leadership in a modern organization, which this book provides, will allow for a more thorough paper. One of the chapters of this book is Influence of Retention Policies. Being able to retain employees plays a large role in the success of the company. There are specific policies put in place for the employees, it is important to know and understand the culture of the employees if the company wishes to retain them.
