National Health Care Issues

I would have to say there are many health care issues going on currently, but one issue that has been an ongoing issue is that access to medical care is a national health care issue that affects my work setting in a greater perspective. Being that I would need to attend to as many patients as possible to gain more experience, it becomes a problem because some people find attending health care facilities too expensive. Some people do opt for purchasing drugs in drug stores rather than visiting the health care facilities to know what they are ailing from. I feel as these actions do tend to affect my work setting because I would, of course, find it hard to get to help keep the records in the same perspective.

If I were in their shoes, I would probably do the same due to the increased rate of getting health insurance coverage to receive proper medical care. It would also cost the patients a great amount to get health care attention in private health care facilities; in my take, this is a national health issue facing a good number of nations around the globe. Most of the patients lose the confidence of the health care providers for a reason or the other, which in return affects my work setting in that relation.

Conclusion

Our organization has tried to respond to this national health issue by providing free checks on some serious health issues like cancer screenings, such as free mammograms and optical checkups, even large yearly events leading to free access to health on some minor diseases. This is a good move to gain the community’s trust back to healthcare facilities despite the many changes in health care access in the current era. Our organization also pushes for consideration on some patients from vulnerable backgrounds with a higher need for medical attention from time to time. This is quite effective in this issue because the country may end up losing a lot of citizens due to the high insurance rate, which cannot be afforded by the whole population. These measures would call for a relook at the health insurance coverage policies, which would, in the same regard, favor people from vulnerable backgrounds.
