I have a group assignment. My question is Discuss how the group will ensure the study has high internal validity. Will the subjects be assigned randomly to the groups? Why or why not. Please read atta

Video games have been around since the early 1970’s, they are a technological aspect that has changed drastically throughout the years in multiple ways. For example, back then they never had multiplayer or the graphics on the video games never looked as real as they do today. Video games tend to target grade school children all the way to adults, there may be an age gap, but that does not mean that aggression does not take place. Aggression takes place in video games, when a player does not win, if a player is arguing with another player in multiplayer, or even young children being exposed to things such as guns, knifes, or any type of weapons and believing that they are okay to use since it is in video games.

In this experiment, a quasi-experimental research is going to take place where the independent variable is going to be manipulated without the random participants. This is going to include the failure of being able to do random assignment to the treatment groups, in the end result they may become influenced. This experiment is not going to have a wide variety of participants that goes from different types of ages, ethnicities, race, characteristics, and/or personalities to get the range of a great amount of different points of views. Therefore, this quasi-experiment is going to contain of two groups of participants, the experimental group is going to be playing violent video games as for the control, they are going to be playing non-violent games. The dependent variable in this experiment is going to be the overall behavior of the subjects and the independent variable is going to be the correlation of video games being chosen for the study. Overall, random assignment is going to take place in both of the groups and the hypothesis is going to view the levels of aggression in the experimental and control group on how they react if they win or lose meanwhile playing the video games.
