Assignment:1.Provide a real-life example for each of the following different types of product liability: (a) negligence, (b) warranty, (c) strict liability, and (d) misrepresentation. When possible, report both the details and the payouts.
2. Search press reports for patent infringement cases. Describe the process and the outcome. Of particular value are examples that list the legal costs of defending patent infringements and the amount awarded for a successful defense.
3. Choose a country other than your own or one where you have lived. Research and be prepared to report on that country’s (a) stage of economic development, (b) political–legal environment, (c) cultural environment, and (d) technological environment. If you were advising an entrepreneur who was considering entering this country to sell his or her products, what would you say were the major strategic issues? (Be specific to the country chosen.) 4. Is going international something that only large and established firms should pursue after they have achieved success in their domestic markets “right off the bat?” Which sorts of products are more amenable to “going international” by small and new firms?
