Alien Recipe Project - Page 1 of 2 Alien Recipe Project Project Guidelines and Rubric Scenario: Imagine an alien has landed in your backyard. You become friends and tell him all about how organisms on this planet make energy through Photosynthesis and use that energy in Cell Respiration. He is so fascinated by these process that he asks you to write down a recipe for him so that he can try to recreate either Cell Respiration or Photosynthesis on his home planet. Goal/Task: For this project, you will create a recipe showing how to make either glucose (via Photosynthesis) OR ATP (via Cell Respiration.) Delivery: Your “Recipe” should be a detailed description in the style/format of a recipe ● Title (indicate Photosynthesis or Cell Respiration) ● Ingredients ● Instructions on the process, including: ○ correct stages referenced ○ detailed descriptions of events within those stages, that reference each ingredient ○ instructions detail the steps in order ○ include keywords ● Serving size (how much of the product results) ● A picture of the final product (citation included) Students are enco uraged to develop projects in a format that best expresses their knowledge of a topic, so no two projects will be alike.
