Introduction
Global interconnectedness refers to how all individuals all over the world have become
connected. It relates to understanding multicultural and international relationships and how they
are interconnected. Ethical global leaders are left to portray leadership that respects international
diversity in different aspects. These aspects include the cultural beliefs and values of every
individual's opinion. The leader illustrates virtuous behavior by doing what is right and
considering all parties' benefit.
Global interconnectedness has developed a significant boost in the world's global
economy. The global economy is interconnected in goods and services flows, capital,
information, and all countries' economic activities (Porteral, 2013). There is, therefore, a
relationship that exists in these activities, and comparative advantage is utilized. States have been
practicing trade amongst each other for many years, and it has been made easier with the
advancement in technologies. The currently existing technologies are useful in connecting
countries to enhance significant trade bringing together all parties in one site where they meet as
if they are in the same location. There is the use of the supply chain to deliver goods amongst
individuals in different countries where they are purely using advanced technologies.
A global ethical leader identifies organizations' issues and tries to maintain a peaceful
working environment by providing solutions. Therefore, the leader is faced with coaching and
innovation's responsibility to sharpen the team to work effectively. The invention is applied
creativity that utilizes thoughts to develop the best solutions that create value for individuals.
Businesses ought to enhance creativity to promote new ideas that will enable the organization's
goals and strategies (Teng-calleja, 2019). Due to changing technology, there is existing GLOBAL INTERCONNECTEDNESS 3
competition. Companies should work towards innovation to maintain customer satisfaction and
ensure that their products are compelling to their demands.
To meet the desired level of interconnectedness efforts, have to be made to create
awareness to various nations on globalization's benefits. To promote effective trade, countries
with barriers to capital flow should be taught the benefits of working together. The benefits of
global interconnectedness cannot be overlooked. They range from cultural and political benefits
to security benefits experienced from broader and more profound forms of globalization.
Businesses can be efficiently connected unless the entities involved are willing to explore the
benefits of working together internationally. Most leaders are at a level where they are
concentrating on domestic activities within their borders. By strategically adopting
connectedness, countries may unleash a potential that would lead to tremendous social and
economic gains.
The link between business ethics and organizational performance
Business ethics involves applying business policies that are effective and appropriate
regarding trade, social responsibility, and governance. When an organization practices business
ethics, there is the promotion of organization performance. Much research has been done to show
that the right business ethics environment provides a motivated workforce that results in its
excellence. It is essential to determine the expected behavior in business that may include written
or moral principles and values representing its culture. Training and coaching are necessary for
leaders and teams to inform them of the best code of conduct that can best be applied in their
organization for the best performance.
Front-runners ought to prepare their teams by ensuring they are well conversant with

should be in existence, and training programs should be conducted regularly to meet a company's
changing needs. A business culture where codes of conduct are complied with has to be created
to promote success. Also, to have a serious workforce, unethical behaviors are to be harshly
punished. There is a need for leaders to showcase high ethical standards at all times. Employees
tend to imitate the actions they observe from their superiors. To safeguard organizational
performance requires leaders to lead by example. An ethical environment creates confidence and
reliability that guards an organization against failure.
Leaders need to benchmark and find professional coaches to direct them in the best
leadership styles to enhance organizational performance. By this, they will gain experience and
decision-making ideas to shape their path towards leading their teams. Based on reflections from
successful leaders, there is an impact left by coaches they have interacted with, which is usually
robust and long-lasting. A leader will only achieve success by intentionally building skills and
knowledge, driving oneself towards being a competent leader. They should work towards
understanding their skills, strengths, and weaknesses. Once they identify them, they should
utilize their strengths and work on their shortcomings, not dwelling too much on them.
Coaching shows that a leader is curious to learn and become better. It helps a leader to
learn how to communicate their thoughts freely. It also helps give attention to cooperation and
teamwork, knowing that it takes both the leaders and the team to produce admirable results.
These are business ethics that have a direct relationship to organizational performance. The
leader extends coaching to his members on how to create efficient output. As a result, the
organization develops a culture of a highly motivated and engaged productivity team. A leader

Cultural factors influencing leadership
Cultural factors affect all aspects of leadership. According to research by Benard Bass,
the leadership behavior, strategies, and goals of organizations are influenced by the values,
beliefs, and norms embedded in a culture. These norms, when absorbed by a leader, bring both
negative and positive consequences. Therefore, there is a need to be very careful about how
leadership and culture are interconnected to bring out the best form. A leader is the one who
develops the culture of an organization as the people observe the practices and rationalize them
(Park 2019). Negative behaviors can quickly spread to an organization leading to the
development of a deficient culture. Factors that can influence leadership may include language
differences, religious opinions, customs, gender roles, and leadership styles established in

For a leader to be effective, the organization's goals and objectives must be the key focus
of any action. They should work to instill a winning culture in the workers. Cultural factors
contribute to global leadership effectiveness. Understanding that culture influences the thinking
and behavior of individuals helps us to appreciate them in their differences. Suppose an
individual comes from a cultural background where leadership is participative. In that case, the
leader from such a community will involve the members in decisions concerning the excellent
organization. A culture where leaders express a dictatorship form of leadership will produce such
leaders. Therefore, such factors will determine global leadership effectiveness when different

environments.
Cultural Intelligence
Cultural intelligence refers to a skill that enables a person to work effectively in a
culturally diverse environment. An individual possessing this skill can do and relate well to any
category of people. They can pick up on the needs and understand the emotions of others when
they interact. Therefore, they can express sympathy and know as they can identify the factors
that lead to their behavior. Cultural intelligence cannot be measured but can only be recognized
when in practice. To acquire the skill, it develops with experience. Therefore, individuals are
encouraged to travel and interact with different communities, both nationally and internationally,
to master how to relate well with other people. Currently, cultural intelligence boosts trade and
business among people from different cultures.
Cultural intelligence is defined as a process in which people understand and acquire
cultural knowledge. It enables individuals to function effectively in culturally varied
circumstances. Intelligence is developed through cognitive means, physical and emotional
means. Cognitive means learning about your own and other people's cultures. This cognitive
dimension is essential as it helps appreciate the differences and promote social interactions
between different cultures. Physical means refers to engaging the body in learning how to
interact via body language and adapt to movements to blend in a different culture. Emotional GLOBAL INTERCONNECTEDNESS 7
means refers to learning to control one's emotions when faced with challenging cultural
situations (park 2019). There is a need to have strong emotions that help one control feelings and
utilize them to handle challenges better. Having cultural intelligence boosts individual
competence, and one becomes relevant to different organizations.
My current leadership skills include active listening skills. I can listen to a person's ideas
or opinions without interrupting them. As a leader, it is crucial to have such a craft to grasp the
crucial points and know where to direct a person when working in a team. Teamwork involves
incorporating each team member with their contribution to ideas. There is also a need to oppose
ideas logically, careful not to cause conflicts. I am a risk-taker. This skill enables a leader to
explore the different possibilities that exist in the business world. Leaders should take risks to
diversify and grow their organizations to new limits. It is from great risks that come with
significant profits.

Global interconnectedness is steadily gaining recognition, and in the future, it will
become a norm to all organizations. There is a lot to learn from each other as challenges are
becoming complex requiring combined input of ideas to come to viable solutions. Problems
faced in business are related to all organizations. For instance, leadership is an essential aspect of
a successful business in any cultural setting and any country. Therefore, finding solutions to
these problems in unison will identify more viable solutions and help ascertain possible
challenges that may arise in the future and prevent them.
I would recommend coaching to enhance my communication skills and maintain healthy
relationships in an organization. The world today involves daily interactions in all transactions,
be it business, health matters, and trade. Therefore, any leader needs to learn to have appropriate GLOBAL INTERCONNECTEDNESS 8
communication skills. Communication is a part of life. Due to global interconnectedness, it
should be a priority for any organization to enhance general leadership effectiveness by outlining
the proper communication guidelines. Interactions in organizations result in relationships.
Organizations should coach the workers on maintaining healthy relationships that will promote
organizational goals and strategies. To achieve effective communication may require training
and holding workshops to teach the team about having a healthy working environment.

The world is developing into a small global village where business, trade, health, finances, and
technology have converged. People can easily relate to each other. in the future, companies will
