You are part of a team selected by the Chief Information Officer (CIO) to perform a security audit for one of the companies explored in this course: Vampire Legends (Wk 1) Cruisin’ Fusion (Wks 2–3)

Introduction

Cruisin' Fusion taco trucks is an Asian eatery company that sells food and beverages. The order-ahead option is on the customers’ demand for delivery of services enabling the company to develop a shopping cart software. The customers are requesting that they could be allowed to place orders online. This means that the customers will only be making an order and establishing their location to be delivered by the company personnel. The Cruisin' Fusion is dedicated to serving customers and ensuring that the customer demands are met. This will be done using the shopping cart software to add products that they want to buy. Shopping online is safe as the company will ensure that it has every customer's details, and the products will be delivered on time. The food preservation standards will be guaranteed to protect the customers' health.

Organizational Ethics, Policies, and Laws

Organizational ethics are the code of conduct that a business maintains. It involves honesty on integrity (Lau et al., 2017). Policies are a set of principles that guide the decision of an organization in achieving the desired outcomes. The organizational management body generally adopts them. Laws are a set of rules and regulations that guide the way of doing business. This is because the business endeavors to conduct itself in a manner beyond reproach.

The new shopping cart software will uphold ethical trends in customer privacy by ensuring that a customer cannot view another customer’s payment mode. Still, the payment methods will be addressed to every customer (Newman et al., 2017). Organizational policies will be of great significance in protecting consumer data. The business personnel will be guided on how to make online adverts without leaking personal consumer information. The business will ensure a high standard of behavior, excellence, and teamwork among the online personnel.

Employees who do not maintain consumer data confidentiality will be fired and held responsible for their actions. This will be a way of maintaining the confidentiality of consumer data. The shopping cart software has data integrity laws that are designed to collect and safeguard personal information. It helps in making informed decisions when the website is being used.
