Cloud Computing

The topic chosen is “How a Business can Leverage Cloud Computing” The topic will introduce all the emerging technological trends that many organizations and businesses are taking advantage of, such as the Internet of Things, Cloud Computing, and Big Data. The focus is cloud computing, particularly with its advantages and disadvantages for both small and large enterprises. It will cover the best implementation techniques that will cut costs incurred during implementation and ensure all hackers and threats identified in the security audit (Smith et al., 2014). The infrastructure services needed to ensure a smooth operation in a business will help organizations plan their budget as poor planning can increase hiring IT experts to help implement the cloud.

The topic of organizational culture change expected with the new technology will focus on education and training that employees must learn. Continuous learning and development is a must if the cloud’s benefits will come out 100%. Some employees might find it difficult to adapt to the new technology due to poor computing skills and knowledge. If training does not help, the topic will advise on a change of personnel. The main models of cloud computing, such as Infrastructure as a service, will open up alternatives that a business can utilize.

If an organization does not have an inbuilt IT team, then the paper will advise on outsourcing. The outsourcing of technological services is risky, but some advantages will surpass the set-backs (Carlin and Curran, 2013). Concerns arising from data and information security in cloud platforms will assist enterprises in trusting the platform despite the challenges it will offer. Examples of data breaches that have made news in recent years will receive mentions.

Framework

Background

As companies look for ways to have a niche over other competitors, cloud computing and other technological tools come to mind. The world has become interconnected through easy access to the internet and communication tools that have changed the methods applied by attackers on a system (Smith et al., 2014). The internet, particularly the dark web, has been a platform for attackers to advance their techniques on accessing sensitive information to either steal funds or hold information for ransomware. Physical servers and databases have exposed themselves as weak as weak security measures that can lead to lost reputation.

Purpose

The paper’s main purpose is to advise businesses on the importance of migrating to new technological techniques that offer a competitive edge over competitors. It will also compare and contrast the past security measures applied for data and information and the use of cloud computing (Smith et al., 2014). Several case studies as examples will show cloud is the future of business.

The risk of outages while using the cloud for operations will be tackled, particularly for enterprises with workers operating in remote areas. Any precaution to take i. Cloud utilization is complex and might require several experts, which the paper will explain (Carlin and Curran, 2013). The tools, workforce, and equipment to invest in will be listed.

Results and Findings

The results obtained from various companies implementing cloud technology will be analyzed and evaluated. The gaps and questions that arise from the purpose of the technology for businesses will receive answers through analysis. The finding s on tailor-made solutions for organizations will be mentioned. Cost management is vital as many organizations are looking to maximize profits and reduce costs associated with the cloud application. Since the cloud has a wide selection of services to choose from, it will be easier for the IT managers to describe the business processes that are critical and in need of cloud computing. In the results, the question of governance and regulation of the technology will open a discussion that will end with authorities’ role in the technology space.

Significance of the Study

The study’s significance will revolve around the advantages of cloud computing to various industries in the business world. While organizations are aware of the technology, the system’s application is yet to be portrayed (Al-lozi et al., 2018). The cloud optimization strategies that will inform organizations on the challenges of deriving full benefits will be discussed. It will also offer an opportunity to review their user policies and rules that might expose cloud applications. Various professional services depend on the cloud to operate. The examples will be exploited by management to convince organizations that the product is right for them.

In conclusion, cloud technology usage will increase as the company looks to leverage it to reach its set goals and objectives. It is difficult for any enterprise to implement a technology that is not aware of its drawbacks unless well-structured will cases are available (Kreslins et al., 2017). Therefore, business intelligence will ensure that it includes the cloud as no institution can claim to be headed for the future without the technology. Millions of funds will be lost by organizations in paying fines and penalties as hackers have sophisticated tools that the business world must try to keep up with.
