Introduction:

As a cybersecurity student, you are expected to be engaged in the discipline. This is evidenced through participation in a professional organization, such as the National Cybersecurity Student Association, ISSA-NOVA, ISACA, webinars, participating in cyber events, participation in the National Cyber League or other activities this semester.

Project:

For this assignment, you will participate in at least 2 cybersecurity related activity and will write a 1-page paper on your experience for each. Due to COVID-19 pandemic, these cybersecurity related activities can be virtual events from any of those professional organizations mentioned above, or from any other well-known professional organizations. Apply standard formatting with single spacing and 12-points font.

Alternatively, you can also choose to research on 2 cybersecurity related topics of your interest that are emerging in the near future and write a 1-page paper on each topic. You can focus on researching some of the topics we have already discussed in this course and expand your understanding by researching how exactly it works or being developed further in the field. Please exclude any marketing or sales pitch from any vendor and cite your sources. Remember, you will not be their sales representative. Apply standard formatting with single spacing and 12-points font.

Rubric:

  1. 50 points on each topic, including the 1-page summary (without the references section)

  2. Quality of work (spelling, grammar, punctuation, thoughtfulness, completeness, etc.) and efforts (i.e. number/variety of sources, both print and/or online resources).

  3. References and citations (on a separate page).
