My proposal

1. Do not write a paper, simply create an outline of the material and ideas that you will use to populate the appropriate sections during the actual writing process in the future.

2. Document why the methodology, population, sample, etc math the research that you are performing.

3. Consider potential resources that you will cite in the various sections and include in-text style citations in your outline and notes

Background

Employees may play a major part in determining the rate of success that a company or organization experiences. This is made possible by the fact that a positive work environment influences the motivation that the employees have towards the work and thus their satisfaction through the creation of a positive working environment, the human resources department is able to correct any negative behavior by employees or their supervisors. Satisfaction of the employees and their managers has increases the ability for companies to retain their employees and possibly even reduce instances of workplace violence. Negative working environments not only affect the performance of the employees but also negatively impacted their motivation, which shows there is the need to create a positive work environment for employees.

Literature Review

Some of the literature reviewed does address the negative effects of a negative work environments among employees and the business. According to Langer, Taylour, and Smith (2020), exposure to a noisy working environment did not only predict the negative well-being of the employees but also led to environmental dissatisfaction. A supportive work environment could improve the ability of an organization to retain its employees. The gaps in literature could be fulfilled by conducting research that explicitly focuses on identifying the effect of a positive work environment on retaining employees.

Hypothesis/Research Questions

      1.            A positive work environment could increase employee motivation.

      3.  Correcting negative behaviors among employees could reduce workplace violence.

Significance of the Study

The significance of this study will be to help workplaces to understand the importance of creating a positive work environment to foster employee retention and reduce workplace violence. This will help organizations reduce extra costs incurred in re-training employees as a result of employee turnover. It will also help companies to achieve a competitive advantage as a result of retaining highly skilled and innovative employees. This would help organizations and companies achieve sustainability.

Purpose Statement

The objective of my work will be to conduct a study to demonstrate how creating a positive working environment by the human resources could be created help companies and organizations engage employees and in turn, reduce workplace violence and reduce employee turnover capabilities in the companies.

Problem Statement

There are increasing rates of employee turnover and workplace violence as a result of negative workplace environments. This has affected companies as they have lost competitive and highly innovative employees. Attempts to retain employees and reduce workplace violence through other strategies have failed to address the high employee turnover and workplace violence in the workplaces.

Proposed Data Collection and Data Analysis

This is the area that concerns me, how to collect the proposed data? There are various sources, including such as peer-reviewed articles, journals, books, government publications, and reputable organizations. A check sheet will be used to collect the data because the check sheet is a structured, prepared form that is used to collect and analyze data. Microsoft Excel to perform data analysis of the data collected. Speaking with Dr. Wallace he gave me a few good tips on how he went about contacting companies to get people to complete his surveys.

Research Methodology

The primary methodology types are: qualitative, quantitative and mixed methods. Still not sure about this area, I am looking to keep things as simple as possible.
