Part C
Purpose of the Study
The purpose of the study is to engage decision-makers over concerns of the reduced number of females enrolling for higher education that has led to a reduced number of females in management positions. The need to involve education investors has led to investment plans focused on financing education for females to achieve gender equality.
Results of the Study
The study results show that professional networks have helped increase donations to close gaps of gender equality in education. Older members of professional networks are more involved and willing to invest in education compared to new members. The need to “Compete” and “Imitate” top colleges will help smaller institutions close the gender inequality gap.
Conclusion and discussion
The author concludes that achieving gender equality should not get left for a few passionate individuals. A top to bottom approach will ensure education transform institutions into thriving educational platforms for both males and females. Transformative practice in education can only happen through collaborative exercises and programs.
Evaluate the Study
The study has not changed my view as the author points to inconsistent dedication to achieving gender equality. Therefore, the passionate commitment to education that professional networks are expected to have is in-existent. The results are related to my study of gender inequality in Ivy League institutions evident in the system.
