PSYC 3304 & 3104, Response to Feedback Document for Final Research Paper

Research Project: Response to Feedback Document

Grade Points: 5 points

Due Date: Thursday, 8/5/2021, 11:59 PM (Last day of this term/session; thus, late submissions are not permitted.)

Instruction:

  • Carefully go over the instructor’s feedback (including comments and tracked changes/edits) for your project assignments.

  • At this point, most of you should have received my feedback for your proposal and participants subsection. I will be going over your results and discussion sections in the order they were received. As you know, we have many people in this class, but I will review all files and send you my feedback as soon as possible. If you are still waiting for my feedback for your last assignment, you can work on the other sections first (e.g., abstract, introduction, method, references, table, appendices).

  • In this document, you need to:

  • Explain how the instructor’s feedback has been addressed in your final paper using the table on page 3.

  • Write about the feedback (including comments and tracked changes/edits) for the following sections:

  • Abstract (list no more than 1 comment)

  • Introduction (list at least 1 comment)

  • Method (list at least 1 comment)

  • Results (list at least 1 comment)

  • Discussion (list at least 1 comment)

  • References (list no more than 1 comment)

  • List at least 10 comments (total) provided by the instructor and discuss how each comment is addressed in your final paper.

  • If no feedback was provided for a section, just put “No feedback provided.”

  • See example:

Abstract

Keywords are missing.

I added 3 keywords at the end of the Abstract.

Introduction

This paragraph is too short. You can either expand it or combine it with another paragraph.

I extended the paragraph by adding more description of the study.

You have several direct quotes in your intro. Try to summarize the past findings in your own words.

I paraphrased them and used my own words to describe the findings of those studies.

Method

Reliability (Cronbach’s alpha coefficients) needs to be reported for each questionnaire.

I reported the Cronbach’s alpha coefficients for the questionnaires using the information provided in the instruction.

Provide at least one example of the items/questions for each questionnaire described.

I included two examples for each of the questionnaires in the Method section.

Results

The result was significant because p < .05.

I corrected the interpretation of the findings and stated that the significant correlation supported my hypothesis.

We completed the data collection for this research project, and this is not a proposal. Therefore, use “would” here instead of “will.”

I changed the future tense to past tense when describing the method and results.

Discussion

Begin the discussion section with a restatement of the hypothesis or purpose of the study.

I restated the purpose of the study in the first paragraph of the Discussion section.

References

No feedback provided.

  • Complete this Response to Feedback Document by typing your responses directly into the table (starting on page 3).

  • Save your file regularly. When you are done, upload your saved word document (must be .doc or .docx) to the Response to Feedback under the Assignments tab on Canvas.

This assignment must be completed and submitted individually as indicated in the course syllabus. Let the instructor know if you have any questions or concerns about this assignment.

Response to Feedback Document

Read the instruction above. List at least 10 comments provided by the instructor (at least one for each section except for Abstract and References) and discuss how each comment is addressed in your final research paper. Add as many rows to the table as are necessary.
