People choose teaching for a variety of reasons. Irrespective of what their reason is, there are contexts in which teaching takes place in South Africa. There are also challenges that are faced by teachers in South Africa. Critically discuss the contexts and challenges. (25)

The teaching professional/profession requires teachers to be professional at all times. As much as teaching professionalism is tied on the Constitution of South Africa, it is also found in other teaching professional documents. Discuss any three key documents on which teaching professional accountability is based. (25)

Teachers face authority crisis all over the world. Given that we are living in a democratic country in South Africa, learners tend to misunderstand that teachers have rights as well.
