Late Adulthood Questions

PSYC 3344

Ask the person some or all of the following questions:

What was it like for you growing up? What do you remember most about your childhood?

What is the secret to long life?

What do you like most and least about getting older?

What would you change about the world today?

What advice do you have for someone who is in their youth today?

What was the happiest time in your life?

Looking back on your life, what do you regret most? What makes you the most proud?

How do you want to be remembered? How do you believe you will be remembered?

You will probably need to add to/ change some of the above questions to fit your specific conversation. Your main goal in this is to LISTEN to the thoughts this person wants to share. Don’t be afraid if they get emotional; just listen to and attempt to understand them.
