My response here was wrong I believe:

In this session, annotating references and relating them to one's study has several notable advantages. First, it helps examine the credibility of the available sources, helping one to check the author's expertise. Second, it helps in compare one's opinions to the authors. This ensures that one is fully informed before making judgments in writing. After coming up with the annotated bibliography and checking the opinions of the authors, reviewing their biases, which may negatively affect the research's results. Based on one's topic, we may have to look for more sources and references based on the quality of the information that was found. Having a substantial number of references
for my dissertation, helps to show my understanding of the topic. Second, it can help to support my opinion, arguments, and ideas since we clearly show the sources of all our ideas and their relevance to the study. Third, through proper referencing, we you avoid plagiarism by recognizing the ideas of other authors. Failing to reference dissertations properly, other people may think that the information is ours. Lastly, through proper referencing, we credit other authors for the work they've done.

Her response:

Good points. Situating your research in the literature is important and assessing what is out there is the important first step. We'll keep looking for more sources to really build out that background. Be sure to a look at grounding the research and reconsider that question before you move to much further. When you have reconsidered the Session 1 DQ, share your reflections on that topic please!

This is the Session 1DQ question below

1DQ Using the program materials, the class textbooks, and your own knowledge, describe in your own words the meaning of "grounding” one's research by the current body of literature. Describe how you will "ground” your research and how you will allow the literature to drive your research.  Be sure to use examples from your ongoing secondary research.

I need a response; again my topic is toxic leadership and the treatment of employees.
