Paragraph 4: Topic sentence (A topic sentence reminds the reader of the thesis topic and contains a sub-topic that you will prove in the rest of the paragraph. Example of a topic sentence 'sub-topic' is: Scrutinize the film to find at least 3 examples of how Zuckerberg actions illustrate that he is an opportunist. The structure of paragraphs 4,5,6 goes like this: Topic sentence Introduce quote by telling the reader what the quote says in your own words. Present quote (Fencher) and/or (Film Art, 26). Comment upon the quote with a list of examples (Zuckerberg is greedy, a dissembler, and an opportunist) 1st from your primary (chosen film & book ‘Film Art’) and in revision from your other secondary sources. These list of examples have to do with proving your topic sentence sub-topic, “actions”.
This essay requires 6-8 secondary sources. 2 of which are your debaters. So, this means that you need 4-6 more secondary sources that you will incorporate either to support or counter-argue your topic sentences’ discussions in paragraphs 4,5,6. Example of a counter-argument: “Erika Johnson in her essay (title) argues that (state what she argues); however, what she fails to take into consideration is…”. The 4,5,6 paragraphs must be at least ½ a page, cannot be shorter, but can be longer.
