Radio Broadcast for Early New Orleans JazzNPR Broadcast Objective: pick 12 songs by various artists within the ENOJ style period, arrange them in an order conducive to a quality mix of tempos, author/script the disc jockey comments to be interspersed among the songs discussing the artists, song titles, characteristics of the ENOJ style, and what each song does to illustrate the style.
For researching artists, I recommend using Google to find a homepage for the artist. Please be sure to evaluate the website. Some websites are not reputable enough for basing research (i.e.: a sixth grader's personal homepage is probably not a good source for objective information about Buddy Guy).
I have uploaded a sample transcript of a NPR show for you to use as a model. Please view it and consider that approach as something worthy of a nationally syndicated broadcast.
