Next Steps Simulation: Connecting the Community

Introduction

According to a general consensus, community based participatory research is “a partnership approach to research that…[finish the definition from section 2 of Chapter 29 or summarize in your own words]. This manner of approach helps guarantee that broad voices and perspectives are incorporated into defining and addressing public health challenges.

Incorporating the community into public health initiatives is complicated. For this final section of my paper I will assume I have been allocated resources and staff to further develop what my paper has started. In particular, I will address [identify which one you select]: 1) connecting with community based organizations or proposing how to start one if none exists; 2) organizing the design of an online portal of service providers addressing the CHI of my interest; 3) some other idea that seems worth devoting staff time for developing that incorporate community based activity.
