Her goal was to use the survey results to highlight that black lgbtq members suf fer more disparities in the workplace, negative police interactions, poor mental health compared to white Lgbtq members .The article is kind of weak in the sense that the author is white and i am not saying it gives a bias but it has no relatability because she is not black. This article talks about the social oppression Lgbtq+ - Poc are experiencing while also associating it with racism and heterosexism.

This article uses statistics and facts from a three phase empirical study to access the microaggressions experienced by minorities. This article is very relevant because it goes in depth about the racism and other factors like microaggressions my hypothesis mentions . This article is weak in the sense that it’ s not specific and very broad racially because it doesn’t focus on black people’ s experience which is my key topic. 3. Intersectionality within the LGBT Community '' This article was published august 2017.

This article talks about intersectionality from a Lgbtq+ point of view . It also talks about identifying with a particular group or community but not feeling included because you also identify with a dif ferent community . it’s like comparing a queer black woman experience in society to a queer white man, obviously the queer black woman faces more dicrimination when her queer identity is topped of f with the fact that she is a black woman because white men have it easier . Your racial identity is not something that can be changed because its visible to the eye. This article is really relevant and adds more evidence to my hypothesis which is proving that intersectionality is one of the greatest factors to recognize dif ferent people’s oppression but it is also weak because it focuses more on the author ’s racial identity and he doesn’t identify as black. 5. This documentary talks about internalized homophobia in the black lesbian and bi-sexual community while also looking for solutions. It also discusses how certain behaviours increase the homophobic oppression and masculine priviledge in within the black community . This article is really relevant because it talks about the struggles of black lesbian and bi-sexual women who are part of the black community in whole but it’ s weak because it only bases their struggles within the black community . 4
