Part 1

At this point, you should have a list of approximately 2-5 job titles that interest you and align with your assessment results. You will now choose TWO of these occupations and do some deeper research about these careers.

1. Complete the Research a Career Worksheet with thought and detail. Points will be deducted without true effort.

Part 2

Are you gritty? Watch the Grit Ted Talk and read the Grit article, and write a 1-2 page reflection on what you took in about grit.

Answer the following questions in your paper:

What is grit?

How have I shown myself to be gritty in the past? (example)

How does grit apply to me right now while I'm trying to decide my major or career path?

What did I learn about applying grit to my future?

Paper should be typed, 1-2 pages in length, double spaced with 1 inch margins.

You have the opportunity to take advantage of the wealth of information on the Career Development Services YouTube channel

You can watch any video over 10 minutes that is not a topic that is covered in a career planning course. Write a summary reflection on what you learned.
